Lauren Wolfson L.Ac., Dipl.Ac., owner of Family Acupuncture Center, received her Master of Acupuncture and Oriental medicine degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) in 1996 and is nationally certified and Board licensed in the state of NJ. While studying at OCOM she also attended the National College of Naturopathic Medicine and received, in 1997, her Certificate in Classical homeopathy. Her undergraduate years were spent at the University of Rochester where she obtained her B.A. in Psychology and was awarded Phi Beta Kappa honors. In 1999 she moved from Portland, OR to NJ and has been in business at Family Acupuncture Center in Denville, NJ since that time. Lauren became interested in holistic medicine during her undergraduate years when she developed more awareness of the body-mind connection, and then researched therapies that honored this connection. Thus started her pursuit of holistic medicine and, more specifically, Oriental medicine and Classical homeopathy. Lauren is devoted to her work and continually studies with leaders in the field of Oriental medicine and Classical homeopathy.
Ariel Mayer L.Ac., Dipl.Ac., received her Master of Science in Acupuncture degree in 2009 from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in Manhattan and is nationally certified and Board licensed in the state of NJ. She traveled to China where she studied at the International Training Center of Beijing with doctors in the fields of internal, pediatric, geriatric, and sports medicine. Ms. Mayer tailors treatments to the unique needs of each patient by utilizing Classical Chinese Medicine acupuncture, Japanese style acupuncture, APM trigger point release technique, electro-acupuncture, qi gong, guasha, cupping, tuina, deep belly breathing and Eastern nutrition guidelines for health and well-being. She provides the highest level of care to her patients in all stages of life, including pre-natal and post-natal.
